Over $50 million in grants have been made to more than 400 nonprofit organizations in the Foundation’s 34 years of existence. Grantmaking has increased significantly in the last two years as a result of a contribution from a trust set up by Charles Dater. The Foundation’s assets total more than $100 million.

She succeeded her late husband Paul Krone as a board member in 1995 and served until moving to emeritus status in 2005. The Dater Foundation joins his family and friends in mourning the loss of Foundation founding director and Vice President John D. Silvati, who died Thursday, May 8 of congestive heart failure and complications from a recent setback in a thirty year battle with heart-related issues. (5/8/2014)
