Back to School Program Valley Interfaith Community Resource Center partners with the community to provide necessary resources and build self-sustainability, with the vision of creating a sustainable tomorrow. VICRC employs a service model that spans all levels of intensity and need through three service areas: Emergency Resources, Crisis Intervention, and Sustainability. Its main programs include a food pantry, clothing pantry, Crisis Intervention services, and our Sustainability program Neighbors Empowered. Throughout the year, several seasonal programs are offered during times when resources become increasingly strained. In 2019, with support from the Dater Foundation, the Annual Back to School program served over 1,200 school aged youth throughout Hamilton County, providing a new backpack filled with essential school supplies, a gift card for new shoes, and a new school uniform while partnering to better resource families and promote school readiness outcomes. The Back to School program lessens the burden on families and ensures that all youth have the opportunity to begin a new school year set for success.
