Youth Empowerment Classes

Founded in 1981, the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati has emerged from a grass roots effort to a nationally-acclaimed organization serving 1,400 individuals with Down syndrome who live and thrive in the Greater Cincinnati community.  Youth Empowerment is one program for children ages 6 to 18.  Its purpose is to offer programming to enhance development and strengthen skills through quarterly classes. The classes focus on fine arts activities to promote self-expression, fitness classes to encourage healthy living, and independent living skills to help ,youngsters care for themselves. To date, over 120 children have benefitted from these programs.
