MainStage Season 2019-20
The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati (TCT) MainStage Series for the 2019-2020 season at the Taft Theatre included four productions. A Dater grant supported school ticket subsidies. The season celebrated “The Power of a Child” with musicals following four young characters with strength and self-confidence. Productions included the world-premiere of CASPER THE FRIENDLY MUSICAL; the holiday classic A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS; the triumphant return of the Broadway staple ANNIE JR.; and the musical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s beloved novel “Matilda.” TCT’s MainStage programming typically serves more than 100,000 children, families and members of the Greater Cincinnati community. The 2019-2020 season marks TCT’s 100th year of producing artistically engaging and thoughtful productions for families of all ages. TCT is the oldest professional children’s theatre in the nation and consistently serves more people than nearly every Downtown Cincinnati arts organization.
