Duke Energy Children's Museum: Creating More Curiosity in Children

The Duke Energy Children’s Museum at Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) consistently ranks in the top 10 children’s museums in the United States. During 2018-19, we hosted more than 1,800 hours of programming for children of all ages. The annual Learning Through Play Conference brought together the region’s best childhood development experts to help parents, families and educators establish a solid foundation for a child’s development. Learning Through Play returned to CMC with over 100 educators register for the first conference back in Union Terminal since it closed its doors for the restoration in 2016. Other programming included Learning Labs to enhance schools’ visits to CMC where nearly 6,500 students were inspired to learn about science and history. From September 2018 through August 2019, more than half a million guests learned through play at the Duke Energy Children’s Museum thanks to the generosity of supporters like the Dater Foundation.
