Hats Off Series and Local School Performances
Madcap explores a changing landscape of artistic forms and social concerns, and combines puppetry, music, acting, and the fine arts to engage diverse audiences with performances that challenge and delight, educate and celebrate. For 38 years, Madcap has been delighting audiences with larger than life puppet performances, workshops and residencies. With the support of a Dater grant, Madcap continued its Hats Off Series at the Cincinnati Art Museum and the Clifton Cultural Arts Center as well as at schools throughout Greater Cincinnati and the region. More than 120,000 children of all ages saw a performance during the 2017-18 season. Approximately one third of the schools at which Madcap performed were considered at risk.
