Educating Youth for Financial & Life Success
Junior Achievement (JA) provides effective classroom curriculum for grades K-12, helping students to understand business, economics, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness. JA’s programs are delivered through positive adult role models who volunteer their time in the classroom. The mission of Junior Achievement is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Programs encourage confidence and motivate young people to achieve their personal, educational, and career goals. During the 2017-2018 school year, a Dater grant provided the opportunity for hundreds of at-risk youth in multiple grade levels in the Cincinnati area to receive curriculum to deepen their soft-skill competencies, and improve their work readiness by increasing their business, economics, and life-skills understanding. In all, JA OKI reached nearly 40,000 students last school year, in over 235 local schools.
