Student and Youth Philanthropy Education Program
Grant Application:
Magnified Giving has been educating youth in the philanthropy process now, for 14 years. We have developed a highly unique and innovative curriculum model and rubric for students to follow, and at the same time have allowed for the creativity and flexibility of teachers so they can customize the Magnified Giving program to their school, their students, their environment and their needs. We have fully integrated the Service Learning Model which takes students through a 6 stage process: Investigation, Preparation, Action, Reflection, Demonstration and Evaluation.
The short term goal is to impact local nonprofits through a grant of (youth-led) $1,000. The long term goal is life-long learning and passion for giving back to the community through time, talent and treasure.
Goals:
Educate, Inspire and Engage youth in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky in philanthropy and service learning.
To increase participants,
To increase number of programs,
To increase impact through dollars granted, service hours and youth educated.
Grant Evaluation Report:
The 2021 - 2022 school continued to be a slight challenge to navigate systems within schools and youth organizations to find the best possible approach and strategy to reach and teach children about philanthropy. Through virtual meetings, in person meetings, many trainings of teachers, and constant support of facilitators the Magnified Giving staff worked tirelessly and consistently to support and guide 122 programs to a successful completion.
