Grant Evaluation Report:

The reach for "Classics for Kids" is still phenomenal but the past two years have been challenging. CPR has experienced some turnover and subsequently, some unexpected delays in our programming. The on-air program and promotion of CFK were successful as usual. In fact, we have almost 28,000 more weekly listeners than we did just a few years ago, which bodes well for the program. "Classics for Kids" remains our top podcast and most requested and engaging project every year.

"Classics for Kids" is Cincinnati Public Radio’s original outreach program. It began 24 years ago and thanks to support from the Charles H. Dater Foundation and it has reached millions of children, teachers, and parents since 1988. The audio program continues to air on WGUC every week at 10am on Saturday and 6pm on Sunday evenings and it’s also carried on 15 additional stations. In terms of radio listening, WGUC's audience grew from 78,700 listeners in 2021 to over 106,300 weekly listeners in 2022.
