Grant Application:
The CCO is requesting $25,000 support from the Charles H. Dater Foundation for the 2021-22 Community Engagement & Education Program, which includes partnerships with Music for Youth in Cincinnati (MYCincinnati), the Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati Childrens Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House, the Joseph House, CAIN Ministries in Northside, City Gospel Mission, and Mindful Music Moments, among others.
The original objectives and goals for the 2021-22 grant period included the start of the new multi-dimensional project ‘American Roots’; the continuation of the longstanding partnership with MYCincinnati; providing recordings of CCO performances for Mindful Music Moments, as well as free small ensemble performances during free community dinners at Northside's CAIN Ministries and City Gospel Mission, the Sensory Saturdays program of the Cincinnati Art Museum and Cincinnati Childrens Hospital.
Grant Evaluation Report:
Taking into consideration the ongoing obstacles the pandemic poses as well as the staff reduction at end of 2021, the program was quite successful.
