2020-21 Education Program
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the CSO reimagined educational programming to best support teachers, students, and parents as they navigated distance learning in the digital space. This pivot to virtual engagement allowed the Orchestra to expand reach and remove barriers to participation such as cost, travel, and time. In a typical year, CSO education programs serve up to 50,000 students. Due to increased accessibility and capacity of online opportunities, CSO anticipates serving a minimum of 50,000 through the following programs during the 2020-21 season:
• Sound Discoveries,
• Musicians in Schools,
• Young People’s Concerts,
• Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestras (CSYOs),
• Nouveau Program,
• CSO/CCM Diversity Fellowship, and
• Mindful Music Moments.
