Books Alive! For Kids®-TV: Virtual Literacy Adventures
To meet the growing and changing needs of the community, this project will greatly expand and diversify Learning Through Art (LTA)’s virtual platform with the debut of Books Alive! For Kids®-TV. Books Alive! For Kids®. BA!FK® is LTA’s signature program that has brought books to life through sight, sound and touch since 1998. This proven performing arts literacy program magnifies lessons of stories through interactive reading/language activities, crafts and performances. To respond to the community’s critical need for remote literacy learning opportunities, LTA has pivoted to expand its digital footprint with BA!FK®-TV, featuring high-quality instructional programs that can be streamed online in the classroom, community or home. BA!FK® is complemented by multi-faceted, wraparound Family Wrap programs and resources that give parents/caregivers tools to foster reading at home, including Take Home Book Packs and live or virtual Family Adventures performances and Family Literacy Nights.
