Inspiring Tomorrows Through Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement of OKI Partners, Inc. Junior Achievement's mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. JA’s programs – in the core content areas of work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy – ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century. A Dater Foundation’s grant helped 1000 students participate in JA’s programs, including K-12 classroom curriculum, the JA INSPIRE Virtual career expo, and the JA Virtual Career Exploration Fair. These programs prepare young people to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices. Programs are directly aligned with community priorities for developing a qualified workforce and creating pathways out of poverty. In response to school closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, JA began offering programming virtually, allowing teachers to provide their students with the same high quality materials and lessons.
