Opewration School Bell
Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati, celebrating 22 years of service, is an all-volunteer organization supporting philanthropic programs that improve the lives of individuals and families in the eater Cincinnati area. Operation School Bell® is our signature program positively impacting students in grades kindergarten through 6. This year, an electronic survey was distributed to schools to determine students’ current needs. Using their responses, we expanded the items distributed to schools from clothing only to including hygiene items and books. Emergency distributions continue upon request throughout the year. The COVID-19 pandemic did not impact the distribution of products, only the means by which it was accomplished. Items were distributed through our in-school distribution process. Items were packaged for each school, representatives picked them up, brought them to their school, and distributed them to their students. This year we served one additional school from the previous year, for a total of 43 schools.
