Kids Get Arthritis Too!
This Dater Foundation grant supported the Kids Get Arthritis Too! Program including:
• Fall Family Camp designed to be educational, fun, and build connections.
• Juvenile Arthritis Day at our annual Jingle Bell Run featuring games, a fun run, and holiday crafts.
• JA Connect Group at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital to help families learn more about JA and care choices.
• Virtual Juvenile Arthritis Family Day designed to help families impacted by JA connect, learn, and grow together.
• Virtual Connect Group featuring COVID-19 and preparing for school, family networking, and activity session. Dr. Kenneth Schikler, a local Pediatric Rheumatologist led this session.
More than 200 families were able to attend at least one event increasing their knowledge about JA and expanding their social network during a very trying time in public health. Due to the COVD-19 pandemic, we transitioned all events to virtual after March 2020 while still delivering high-quality and engaging content for families living with JA.
