Children’s Programming

Celebrating 64 years, CET, the first licensed educational television organization in the nation, positively contributes to the quality of life in Greater Cincinnati on-air, online, and in the many communities served.  The mission is to strengthen the communities through programs and services that inspire and inform, educate and engage, fostering citizenship and culture, the joy of learning and the power of diverse perspectives.

PINKALICIOUS & PETERRIFIC is a new animated series that encourages children to explore the arts and spark creativity.  Based on the best-selling Pinkalicious book series by Victoria Kann, the program is designed for children ages 3-5.  PINKALICIOUS & PETERRIFIC encourages kids to engage in the creative arts and self-expression, covering areas such as music, dance and visual arts.

The PINKALICIOUS & PETERRIFIC television series is part of a multiplatform media experience that will also include digital content for kids, parents and teachers. PINKALICIOUS & PETERRIFIC offers a variety of games at pbskids.org and on the PBS KIDS Games App, as well as clips and full episodes across PBS KIDS' streaming video platforms, including the PBS KIDS Video App.  Parent resources are available on the PBS KIDS for Parents site, and PBS LearningMedia offers classroom-ready materials for teachers, including video excerpts, games, tips and printable activities.

A solid foundation for early learning begins with Emmy award-winning children's programming found on CET -- including the PBS KIDS 24/7 broadcast channel and online services -- all supported by a Dater Foundation grant.  Each PBS KIDS program has celebrated outcome data that shows kids who watch CET are learning math, literacy, science, social studies, creativity and how to be a good neighbor. The best part?  CET’s youngest viewers are enjoying quality shows that offer unique embedded learning that is fun, safe and trusted by parents, teachers, and caregivers.
