CISE/Friars Club After School Sports Program
With 96% of students at the eight CISE Catholic elementary schools living in poverty, CISE provides strong academics, a value-based education, and a safe and structured environment where all are welcome. Now in its 12th year, the Friars CISE Sports Program is an after-school program administered by the Friars Club and supported by a Dater grant. The program's focus is on fundamental skill development in a fun, learning environment and with an emphasis on respect, responsibility, good sportsmanship and leadership. This is accomplished through positive, supervised, physical after-school activities. The program encourages a healthy lifestyle and positive values for the 300-plus children who participate.
